experience
open,
yet cocooning
welcoming,
yet wild
Different enough to feel fresh but similar enough for instant comfort. Some of the faces are new, but they have the same warmth, and I feel instantly as if the seven years since my last stay have evaporated. Outside my room, butterflies hover over the bushes that line the path down towards the door. Inside my earth- and biscuit-toned sanctuary overlooking the watering hole, I feel part of the landscape even while watching it through the window. They slide fully open to the side, and I’m suddenly connected even more closely. A warm breeze blows through
the window. The gentle buzz of insects outside harmonises with the hum of a slow-turning fan in a strangely soothing lullaby. An extension of the landscape in a way that feels rooted and grounded, it echoes the colours and textures of its surroundings. You come from the red earth roads and golden grass of the plains back to rough ochre walls and cool blonde tones of the architecture, the blown-out brightness of the sky with clouds reflecting in the pool. Faru Faru is an ode to its surroundings, and an extension of them. Wildlife draws close, because it knows, as we do, that this is a safe place.
Right Sheltered and yet open, here you feel cocooned but connected.
