Singita Magazine_Vol 4 Continuation

inspiration

When thunderstorms shake the foundation of the earth and the floods that follow break riverbanks, still the world breathes – so breathe.

When winds surge, fanning flame into wild fire,

and that which stood before now smoulders,

still it breathes – so breathe.

When drought cracks the land open wide

and doubt clamours from the fissures left behind, still the world breathes – so breathe.

When herds thin and prides grow drowsy,

dampened by desire’s heavy heat,

still it breathes – so breathe.
